Arizona Diamondbacks: 24.13 (13.10/11.03) The D-Backs lead the MLB in OPS (.844) and ERA (2.98). 2. Chicago Cubs: 23.12 (11.95/11.18) The Cubs are banged up with Alfonso Soriano on the DL, Kosuke Fukudome battling an eye cyst and Derrek Lee?s bad neck, but did manage to score 13 runs on both Saturday and Sunday. 3. Chicago White Sox: 19.86 (9.30/10.56) The White Sox have a MLB-best .967 OPS with runners in scoring position. 4. St. Louis Cardinals: 19.43 (8.38/11.05) The Cardinals are 3rd in the NL in ERA (3.24) and 4th in OPS (.799). Their biggest foe this season has been San Francisco?s John Bowker who has three homers against them. 5. Boston Red Sox: 19.29 (8.90/10.38) Manny Ramirez hit .417 with four homers and a .958 slugging percentage last week for Boston. 6. Atlanta Braves: 19.26 (9.62/9.64) Chipper Jones is red-hot, hitting .565 with four homers last week. 7. New York Mets: 19.15 (8.28/10.87) Jose Reyes hit .429 with two homers last week while David Wright hit .522 with one homer. 8. Toronto Blue Jays: 18.91 (8.57/10.34) Could the release of Frank Thomas eventually lead to Barry Bonds hitting shots beneath CN Tower? 9. Los Angeles Angels: 18.06 (8.33/9.73) Ervin Santana has his stuff again; in his last two starts he has a 2.40 ERA and has struck out 14. 10. Baltimore Orioles: 16.55 (7.12/9.43) Luke Scott continues his hot hitting, batting .361 and slugging .557. 11. Milwaukee Brewers: 16.53 (5.79/10.74) The Brewers dropped from the fourth slot this week all the way down to 11th. The Brewers have an OPS of .640 against righties (2nd worst) and .900 against lefties (MLB-best). 12. Seattle Mariners: 16.34 (7.62/8.72) Carlos Silva is 3-0 with a very impressive 2.79 ERA, making that questionable free agent signing look good in the early-going. 13. Philadelphia Phillies: 16.02 (7.00/9.02) In seven appearances, Brad Lidge has given up just three hits and zero runs. 14. Cincinnati Reds: 15.78 (6.58/9.21) The Reds, largely thanks to Johnny Cueto, lead the MLB in strikeouts with 8.1 per game (154). 15. New York Yankees: 15.53 (6.46/9.07) Is now the right time to make Joba Chamberlain (1.42 ERA in 6.1 innings) a starter? 16. Oakland Athletics: 15.31 (4.81/10.50) The A?s have the best ERA (3.36) in the entire American League and are a surprising 12-8 despite hitting one homer in every 98 at-bats. 17. Tampa Bay Rays: 14.98 (6.34/8.63) B.J. Upton is now hitting .338, but has 16 strikeouts in 71 at bats. 18. Florida Marlins: 13.90 (4.86/9.05) Scott Olsen is 3-0 with a 2.60 ERA and 0.98 WHIP, terrifically pitching to contact. 19. Los Angeles Dodgers: 13.59 (5.40/8.19) The only .300 hitters other than Rafael Furcal are Chad Billingsley and Derek Lowe. 20. Texas Rangers: 13.53 (6.30/7.23) Kason Gabbard only has a K/9 of 3.48, but also has a 2.18 ERA. 21. Colorado Rockies: 13.41 (4.03/9.38) Clint Barmes is back and is hitting .389/.421/.667 while playing second base. 22. Detroit Tigers: 12.58 (5.85/6.73) Miguel Cabrera went 12-28 with two homers and four doubles last week. 23. Cleveland Indians: 12.40 (5.01/7.39) Cliff Lee has been downright dominant with a 0.44 ERA and 0.44 WHIP. 24. Houston Astros: 12.36 (4.71/7.65) Wandy Rodriguez has a 2.31 ERA and 9.26 K/9 in 23.1 innings. 25. Kansas City Royals: 12.21 (2.85/9.36) Alex Gordon has three homers and a .857 OPS. 26. Minnesota Twins: 11.81 (2.54/9.27) Nick Blackburn has a 2.49 ERA despite striking out just 12 batters in 25.1 innings. 27. Pittsburgh Pirates: 11.67 (4.08/7.59) Jason Bay is hitting just 5-for-21 over the past six games. 28. San Diego Padres: 10.63 (0.85/9.78) The Padres lead the MLB in quality starts (14), but are dead last in OPS (.633). 29. San Francisco Giants: 10.21 (1.49/8.72) Tim Lincecum once again beat the Cardinals on Sunday, pitching seven scoreless innings to lower his ERA to 1.57. 30. Washington Nationals: 9.86 (2.42/7.44) Tim Redding (3.27 ERA) and Odalis Perez (3.38 ERA) make an unlikely front end of the rotation for Washington.
