Colorado's Yorvit Torrealba finished this past season with a .255 batting average, eight home runs and 47 RBIs, but the catcher was best remembered for his clutch hitting down the stretch. Of his final 26 hits, from Sept. 1 through the postseason, 10 were for extra bases. The Rockies nearly had to retool their catching tandem when Torrealba agreed to a three-year deal with the Mets in November. However, the Mets pulled the offer, and reports speculated on the condition of Torrealba's shoulder.
