Wagner Ready To Go After 'Dead Arm' Complaint
Aug 10, 2014 9:40 AM
Billy Wagner pronounced himself fit to close before last night's game, one day after he asked Willie Randolph not to use him because of a "dead arm."
Wagner played catch during batting practice, which he does every day, and said his arm felt better. "You run into these times," Wagner said. "You get a little tired. It was a day I was down and it gave me a chance to fill the tank back up. That's a plus.
"Thirty-six years old, I think everybody runs into it," Wagner added. "You run in and out of it in your career. Every guy I've talked to has run into it."
