The Chicago Cubs have reached a contract agreement with Cuban outfielder Eddy Julio Martinez.
The 20-year-old prospect will receive a $3 million signing bonus.
Martinez had been said to be in agreement with the San Francisco Giants earlier in the week. The deal was only pending a physical, but things reportedly fell apart for financial reasons.
