The New York Mets have acquired Tyler Clippard from the Oakland Athletics in exchange for Minor League right-hander Casey Meisner.

Clippard has roughly $3.1 million remaining on his contract, $1 million of which the A's will pay, and is eligible for free agency this winter.

Meisner, 20, was drafted by the Mets in the third round in 2013 out of Cypress Woods (Texas) High School.
