The Houston Astros and San Diego Padres have had at the very least preliminary trade discussions regarding Andrew Cashner and Tyson Ross, according to a report.
The Astros continue to evaluate a number of options -- including Cole Hamels -- and nothing is imminent with the Padres.
Jeff Luhnow said Tuesday that Houston is prepared to deal from among its best prospects "if that's what is required and that was our best option to improve this team."
