The Washington Nationals have expressed interest in acquiring a middle infielder from the Arizona Diamondbacks, according to a report.
The Diamondbacks have a lot of depth in the infield, which could be used as a trade chip.
Chris Owings, Nick Ahmed and Cliff Pennington are all capable of handling either shortstop or second base. Aaron Hill, though expensive, comes with quite a bit of experience at second base.
