The Arizona Diamondbacks have promoted Cuban outfielder Yasmany Tomas from Triple-A Round Rock.
Arizona signed the 24-year-old to a six-year, $68.5 million deal in December.
Dave Stewart said Wednesday the Diamondbacks needed "a player that would be comfortable coming here and not having any fear of swinging the bat."
