The Toronto Blue Jays have announced that Paul Beeston will stay on as team president through the end of the 2015 season.
Beeston signed a contract extension and will retire at the end of the season.
The executive's contract expired in October. Toronto had made overtures to Dan Duquette of the Baltimore Orioles and Kenny Williams of the Chicago White Sox.
