The New York Yankees offered Jhonny Peralta a three-year deal this offseason, but he ended up signing a four-year, $52 million deal with the St. Louis Cardinals.
New York offered Peralta the chance to play third base.
The New York Mets also made an offer to Peralta, which was believed to be for just two years.
