The Mets have the 11th pick in June's First-Year Player Draft and don't want to give it up in order to sign Michael Bourn.
According to a team source, they are still trying to determine if they can get Bourn to sign.
There has been speculation that the Mets are trying to get Major League Baseball to take the draft compensation out of the equation.
