The Mets have brought back Pedro Feliciano, signing him to a minor league contract so he can compete for a spot in the bullpen.

Feliciano has not thrown a major league pitch since Oct. 2, 2010. He set franchise records for relief appearances in three straight seasons (2008-10).

He spent the last two seasons with the Yankees on the disabled list with shoulder woes. He underwent surgery to repair a torn rotator cuff on Sept. 8, 2011.
