Pedroia Leaves Game With Jammed Thumb

The Red Sox don't expect to have Dustin Pedroia on Tuesday after he left Monday's contest with a jammed thumb.
"Right now, I don't think he'll play tomorrow," manager Bobby Valentine said. "You could tell there's something there."
Pedroia had X-rays and is scheduled to be checked again by the Red Sox medical staff after the swelling goes down.
A source said that it was unclear when the injury occurred. The team is attempting to schedule an MRI for Pedroia on Tuesday.
