Carl Crawford is holding out hope that he'll be in the lineup on Opening Day. The Red Sox outfielder has been restricted from swinging for a few days because of inflammation in his surgically-repaired wrist. "That's what I'm trying [for]," Crawford said of playing on Opening Day, which for Boston is April 5. "That's definitely the goal of mine. We just have to wait and see." The swelling has gone down in Crawford's wrist, but there is no timetable for the hitter to appear in an exhibition game.
