Mike Matheny may be the front-runner to become the next manager of the Cardinals, writes Bernie Miklasz of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Miklasz writes that St. Louis general manager John "Mozeliak believes in him and deems that Catch 22 is worth the gamble." Matheny played for the Cardinals from 2000 to 2004.
