The Orioles will interview Red Sox vice president of player personnel and pro scouting Allard Baird for their general manager vacancy, according to numerous reports. Baird, who has been with the Red Sox since 2006, has big league general manager experience, having served in that role with the Royals from 2000 to 2006. If he doesn't get the Baltimore job, he is expected to be one of new general manager Ben Cherington's closest advisers in Boston.
