Rays manager Joe Maddon doesn't expect any of his players will be suspended after three were ejected for arguing balls and strikes Friday. Maddon was also thrown out during the eighth inning of Friday night's 5-3 loss to St. Louis. "There was an argument ... there was no physical bumping or grinding," Maddon said. "I don't know why (there would be suspensions)." Rays reliever J.P. Howell, starter David Price and reserve infielder Elliot Johnson were all ejected. "To start just randomly throwing people out of the game in the dugout, and they're not even on the field, I don't understand that at all," Maddon said. "That just can really incite a situation as opposed to defuse it. I talked to both. Their hands were up in the air, they might have been yelling, but it wasn't like, specifically at anybody. "So, what do you expect them to do?" Maddon added. "Sit on their hands. He's (Eddings) got to use good judgment there regarding not causing the situation to get even more (intense)."
