Derek Jeter is seven hits shy of 3,000 for his career and the Yankees have just four games left on their current homestand. The team will then leave for a six-game road trip to Chicago and Cincinnati. "It's impossible for it not to be in your head because I'm asked that question all the time," Jeter said. "Yeah, I would love to do it here, but all I can control is having good at-bats, try and hit the ball hard. I have a few more games left here so we'll see what happens. "I hope I don't do seven hits in one game. That's a long time to be out there."
