Phillies general manager Ruben Amaro Jr. hasn't ruled out second baseman Chase Utley returning during the team's upcoming homestand. The team will begin a nine-game homestand on Wednesday. "Right now, two things need to happen," said Amaro, who added that Utley will likely need more days off than he is accustomed to taking once he is activated. "He needs to get timing, he needs to get at-bats, he needs to get a good feel of seeing live pitching, and at the same time he needs to be honest with us and let us know that he is progressing. And as long as he is progressing, that is good stuff. We do not want to bring him to the big leagues if he doesn't feel comfortable physically to come to the big leagues. And we don't want to bring him to the big leagues until he's gotten enough at-bats to be prepared to play."
