Not only did the Rangers sweep the Red Sox on opening weekend, but teammates Ian Kinsler and Nelson Cruz also made history. Kinsler and Cruz became the first set of teammates to homer in each of the first three games of a season. Texas hit 11 home runs and outscored Boston 26-11 in opening the season 3-0 for the second time in three years. "It just makes a statement that we're here to try to duplicate last year, that we can do it against anybody," David Murphy said. "We did it against a great team." The Red Sox are 0-3 for the first time since 1996.
