The Dodgers exercised the club option for Scott Podsednik on Tuesday, and the outfielder now has 72 hours to accept the contract or become a free agent. Podsednik was acquired from the Royals at the trade deadline last season and hit .262 with five stolen bases in 39 games in Los Angeles. "Our thought process after watching him play for us and seeing what he added to our club was that we would like to have him back," said Dodgers general manager Ned Colletti. "He obviously has versatility in the field, plus he has an added component in the speed he has."
