Yankees Won't Give Girardi New Deal During Season
Jul 11, 2014 2:12 AM
The Yankees will not alter their practice of waiting until the season is over to discuss a new contract with manager Joe Girardi.
"We'll deal with contract stuff down the line," Yankees general manager Brian Cashman said Monday.
Girardi's three-year contract with New York ends after the 2010 season and he has been linked to the Cubs, who saw Lou Piniella step down earlier than expected over the weekend.
