Rangers right-handed pitching prospect Tanner Scheppers has done well coming out of the bullpen for Triple-A Oklahoma City of the Pacific Coast League. Scheppers, who started six games earlier this season for the RedHawks, has recored 18 appearances as a reliever. Through Monday night's action, he was 1-1 with a 2.62 ERA, 3.07 K/BB and .208 batting average against in 34 1/3 innings as a reliever. In his six starts, Scheppers has a 5.84 ERA, 2.38 K/BB and a .330 batting average against in 24 2/3 innings. The 23-year-old was drafted by the Orioles (2005) and Pirates (2008), but didn't sign a professional contract until the Rangers took him with the 44th overall pick in the 2009 First-Year Player Draft.
