The Mets will be open to trading outfielder Carlos Beltran this winter, reports the New York Times. Beltran will be entering the final season of his seven-year, $119 million deal and will be owed $18.5 million in 2011. New York is ready to let Beltran go right now if a team claims him off waivers. However, given Beltran's struggles and the money still owed him, a waiver claim is extremely unlikely to happen.
