Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez has a bruised shin following a freak batting practice injury suffered on Saturday afternoon. Rodriguez, who sat out New York's afternoon game against Boston, was struck by a line drive off the bat of teammate Lance Berkman during batting practice. He wasn't paying attention and appeared to be engaging in conversation with FOX announcer Joe Buck. "I was up close doing my infield-in work, which made it worse," Rodriguez said Saturday night. "The ball came to me quicker. I never saw it. I just remember getting hit and I started jumping around like a rabbit." The Yankees don't know if Rodriguez will play on Sunday night against the Red Sox.
