Concussion To Keep Morneau Out Of ASG
Apr 21, 2014 8:29 PM
Justin Morneau will sit out the All-Star Game as he continues to suffer from the after-effects of a concussion.
Morneau, who has a history of head injuries, was evaluated by a Detroit Lions team doctor who specializes in concussions and was told to rest for a few days.
"If I don't play here, I'm not going to fly out there and run around for two days," Morneau said before the game. "If I can't play for my team, I'm not going to be playing for the American League."
