Yankees designated hitter Nick Johnson has had a setback in his recovery from right wrist surgery. New York manager Joe Girardi said before Thursday's game in Seattle that Johnson felt pain in the wrist taking swings in the initial stages of his recovery. "I had no expectation. I know it is a very difficult thing to come back from," Girardi said. "It seems like guys, sometimes, it takes that offseason to get that full strength. I really had no expectations of when we would get him back." Johnson was placed on the disabled list in early May. He was later transferred to the 60-day DL after having surgery.
