Jake Peavy lasted seven innings in a minor league start against against Cincinnati's Triple-A farmhands on Saturday. After his 112-pitch outing, Peavy pronounced himself ready to go into the regular season. "My breaking balls were pretty good. I threw one of my better ones in the seventh inning," he said after allowing seven runs on 12 hits, striking out four. "I feel just the same as I have my whole big league career. You come to spring training and you just try to get through it healthy."
