Cliff Floyd also arrived for his fourth and potentially final spring training as a Met. Floyd is entering the final year of his contract and said that while he "would love to" stay with the Mets beyond this year, he does not plan to talk contract until after the year's over. As for going into this final year, Floyd said, "It enters [your mind] a little bit, but at the same time, I told myself it would never be something that I carry out or have be a distraction to my team. I'm going to play. I have a year left on my contract, I'm going to play as hard as I can, do the best I can and nothing will be done until after the season."
