Curtis Granderson is open to playing left field for the Yankees this season if need be. Both Granderson and Brett Gardner worked out at New York's minor-league complex in center field on Monday. "People forget, I came up as a left fielder, in the minor leagues all the way up to Double-A," said Granderson. "I didn't start playing center consistently until my second year in the minors and even when I came up to the big leagues, I played a few games in left. I have no problem going back over there if that happens to be." Granderson's ability to play in left field gives the Yankees some options. They could play Gardner in center and move Granderson to left at times.
