Scott Schoeneweis has returned to the Diamondbacks after spending a month on the disabled list following the death of his wife. Gabrielle Schoeneweis was found dead in the master bedroom of the couple's suburban home on May 20. Schoeneweis spent three weeks on the bereavement list, struggled after returning and was then placed on the DL Aug. 11. "He was able to get away from baseball for a couple of weeks and stabilize his life at home," Arizona manager A.J. Hinch told the Associated Press. "No one can fault him at all for needing that time. He looks a lot better. He looks more rested. It looks like his life, with all that happened to him, is more peaceful."
