Mets general manager Omar Minaya says that the team will investigate claims that vice president of player development Tony Bernazard challenged Double-A players to a fight. The New York Daily News reported on Wednesday that Bernazard took his shirt off in a challenge to the minor leaguers. In addition, he used a slang term for a part of a woman's anatomy to insult a player during the early-July tirade. Bernazard has had a number of confrontations within the organization recently, according to The Daily News. "We do take these matters very seriously," Minaya said. "We are going to investigate these things."
