Jake Peavy had his right ankle removed from a protective boot on Thursday and will begin a rehab program soon. Peavy, who has been on the disabled list since mid-June with a strained tendon in his right ankle, threw for the first time since going on the DL and said that he feels good. "I'm just walking around pain free and feeling like I'm ready to get strong and work toward getting out on the field," Peavy said.
