Ken Williams put speculation to rest Tuesday about the White Sox perhaps becoming "sellers" before the July 31 non-waiver trade deadline, saying he has no intention of breaking up the team to reposition for the future. "I think we can win this," he said. "I don't see any reason why we can't. I know we have character and talent in that clubhouse. "Some people might perceive a potential deal to where we sell, just because it may be a younger player, they may be thinking, 'They've thrown in the towel.' In fact, we might view it as a neutral deal for '09, but for '10, '11, '12 you may be better as a result of it. You know it's going to take a lot for me to get my arms around a sell-off. "We haven't played very well at home, but I anticipate that would change. We have young players who are growing and seemingly getting better with each series. The veteran players are getting healthier, and the pitching staff has put a lot of things together. "I anticipate we'll give this thing a run for its money, so I don't see us being sellers. When I look at that board [of available players], I'm also looking for impact players."
