Chien-Ming Wang made his not-so-glorious return to the Yankees in relief against the Phillies on Friday night. Wang pitched three innings in New York's 7-3 loss to Philadelphia. He allowed two runs on six hits. He struck out two batters, while walking just one. He threw 29 of his 51 pitches for strikes, and induced four ground-ball outs. Wang's ERA, which was an astronomical 34.50 when the Yankees sent him to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre to work out his issues, dropped to 25.00 after the appearance.
