With spring training nears its end, the Yankees are expecting to soon announce who has won the starting job in center field, Melky Cabrera or Brett Gardner. Manager Joe Girardi said he already had a "pretty good idea" of his choice, which he would most likely make final Sunday after meeting with general manager Brian Cashman. "I want to go with a preset lineup every day," Girardi said. "We have two capable center fielders. It's not our plan to keep switching them around all the time. They've both played very well, but the guys who are going to start out the season need to get regular at-bats."
