Santana A No-Go For Opening Day?
May 30, 2014 11:29 PM
Johan Santana's sore elbow could keep him from pitching in the Mets' first series of the season.
Santana was expected to make the Opening Day start for New York, but he has yet to pitch in a spring game. The team is tentatively hoping he'll make his spring debut on March 18.
Doctors have told Santana that an irritated triceps tendon is causing the discomfort in his elbow.
