The Phillies have reportedly avoided arbitration with outfielder Jayson Werth by agreeing to a two-year contract worth $10 million.
Reports indicate that Werth will make $3 million in 2009, and $7 million in 2010.
Philadelphia also signed reliever Chad Durbin to a one-year, $1.6 million contract one day after the two exchanged arbitration figures.
