Roughly three years after getting $942 million in tax-free bonds from New York City, the Yankees have asked for an additional $260 million to help with their new stadium.
New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg is set to approve the bonds next week.
The additional bonds will help the team cover a stadium cost overrun of $370 million.
