Carl Pavano agreed to a one-year, $1.5-million deal with Cleveland that includes $5.3 million in incentives for games started and innings pitched, a source close to the negotiations told The Denver Post. Pavano, who will soon be 33, went 4-2 with a 5.77 ERA with the New York Yankees last season. He pitched in just 26 games for the Yankees over four seasons in which he made $40 million.
