The Colorado Rockies have signed utilityman Luis Gonzalez to a minor-league deal with a spring training invite.
Gonzalez will make $10,000 a month in the minor leagues and $500,000 if on the major-league roster. The Rockies appear to need another right-handed bat off the bench with top pinch-hitter Ryan Spilborghs expected to start in center field.
