Carl Pavano's agent Tom O'Connel is scheduled to meet with Florida officials late Tuesday afternoon at the Winter Meetings. "The Marlins are very much in the mix," O'Connell said before the meeting. The Red Sox also have shown a high level of interest in the 32-year-old right-hander. About a half-dozen teams are considering Pavano, who pitched for Florida from 2002-04.
