The Rangers have traded for Nationals shortstop Cristian Guzman, according to a source.
Guzman's agent, Stanley King, confirmed the trade.
Texas has been looking for help in the infield because it dealt first baseman Justin Smoak to the Mariners in the Cliff Lee deal, then Ian Kinsler went on the disabled list with a strained left groin.

The Yankees have given up their pursuit of Nationals slugger Adam Dunn, according to a report in the New York Post.
They consider the asking price for Dunn to be too high.
New York is also concerned about giving up top prospects and asking Dunn to switch to designated hitter, a role he hasn't played in his lengthy National League career.
