The Nationals traded right-handed relief pitcher Luis Ayala to the Mets on Sunday morning for a player to be named later, but that player is expected to be infielder Anderson Hernandez.

Right-hander Aaron Crow, taken by the Nationals with the ninth overall pick in the draft, has signed a deal with the Fort Worth Cats of the American Association, according to The Associated Press.

The Nationals are interested in re-signing infielder/outfielder Willie Harris, according to three baseball sources close to MLB.

Late Thursday, the Nationals gave infielder Felipe Lopez and catchers Paul Lo Duca and Johnny Estrada their unconditional releases.
