Report: Nationals' Guzm?n Has A Deal

The Nationals and shortstop Cristian Guzm?n have reportedly agreed to terms on a two-year contract extension worth an undisclosed amount, according to The Washington Post.

Neither parties would comment on the report, but agent Stanley King said yesterday that Guzm?n "feels his contract situation will work itself out over time."

Nationals' Zimmerman Heads To Disabled List

Nationals' third baseman Ryan Zimmerman is headed to the disabled list with a left shoulder injury, according to The Washington Post.

An MRI on Monday revealed a small labral tear in the shoulder.

"I've had players who've had the same injury who took 10 days off, then played for five years," General Manager Jim Bowden said. "Then I've had some who've been operated on. It can be anywhere in between, and we just don't know yet."
