The last-place Dodgers beat the Nationals 3-1 on Wednesday night for their fourth win in five games.
Zack Greinke pitched 5 1/3 strong innings in his first start since April 11 after coming off the disabled list earlier in the day. He was back three weeks sooner than expected from a broken left clavicle.
"It feels pretty good," he said. "I felt I was healing enough to pitch over two weeks ago. I just wasn't sharp enough. I'm not 100 percent, but it doesn't affect me at all."

Bryce Harper was injured in a collision with the outfield wall in Los Angeles on Monday night.
Harper received 11 stitches in his chin and jammed his shoulder, but didn't sustain a concussion after slamming into the wall in right field.
Harper left the game in the fifth inning.
Harper hit the scoreboard wall face-first while tracking a ball hit by A.J. Ellis over his left shoulder. He never looked at the wall before hitting it. The impact sent Harper's cap flying as he bounced off the wall and crumpled to the ground.
"As the ball kept going, I was like, 'Is he going to stop?'" center fielder Denard Span said. "He looked like he didn't get a good jump at all, like he was surprised the ball was hit to him. I thought he was going to jump and brace himself. As soon as he ran into it, his body locked up."

Washington Nationals right-hander Dan Haren is surprised that the Los Angeles Angels are off to a slow start this season.
Last year, Haren was on an Angels team that also got off to a slow start, going 15-19 after 34 games.
"You would never think it would happen two years in a row to them," Haren said. "Actually, I thought about it a lot because I have a lot of friends over there. If they would have kept the team together and rolled it over into this year, I guarantee that team would have played really good baseball. We got off to a little bit of a slow start [last year], but we really started jelling as a team throughout the year. We came a couple of games short.
"It's hard when you get into a lot of turnover. The rotation, three-fifths of it was gone. It's hard to build chemistry. It's taken [the Nationals] some time here, too. You could see it here. But luckily, we pulled it together after treading water for a while."

Jordan Zimmermann has gotten off to a hot start with the Washington Nationals this season.
The right-hander is in the top 10 in almost every major pitching category, including WHIP (0.75), wins (five), ERA (1.64) and opponents' batting average (.168).
Zimmermann could end up with a contract extension soon. Mike Rizzo has broached the subject with Zimmermann's agent, Mark Pieper.
"We've discussed it with his agent," Rizzo said. "He is under our control for a long period of time. We really like him in the system, and hopefully he is around for a long time."

Washington Nationals left fielder Bryce Harper was ejected by third base umpire John Hirschbeck for arguing a checked-swing third strike on Sunday afternoon.
He tried to hold up on a 2-2 pitch from Pittsburgh Pirates left-hander Wandy Rodriguez in the first inning, and home plate umpire Bob Davidson pointed to Hirschbeck for help. Hirschbeck ruled that Harper had swung.
Harper stood outside the batter's box, stared at Hirschbeck for a few moments and dropped his bat. Hirschbeck then gave last year's NL Rookie the Year the thumb.
