Jo-Jo Reyes Finally Ends Winless Streak

Blue Jays left-hander Jo-Jo Reyes ended his lengthy winless streak as his team thumped the Indians 11-1 on Monday afternoon.

Reyes won for the first time in 29 starts by throwing his first career complete game.

"It was just an awesome game," he said with a smile. "I guess this was the way to do it if I had to choose."

Reyes (1-4) allowed one run and eight hits, earning a win for the first time in almost three years.

His previous victory came with Atlanta against the Dodgers on June 13, 2008. The left-hander went 0-13 with a 6.59 ERA in his 28 starts between wins.

Danks To Bautista: Stop Acting Like A Clown

White Sox starting pitcher John Danks took exception to Blue Jays slugger Jose Bautista on Sunday, calling the home run leader a "clown."

Danks made the comments in response to an incident in the fourth inning on Sunday when Bautista popped up a 3-2 pitch from Danks for the second out of the inning.

Bautista tossed his bat and appeared frustrated with himself as he jogged toward first base before the ball was caught.

The two players had words with each other as Bautista headed back to the dugout.

"I just told him to run the bases. He was out there acting like a clown," Danks said. "He's had a great year and a half -- no doubt. He's one of the best players in the league. But he's out there acting like he's Babe Ruth or something."

"Just the way he was acting. He ran halfway down the line and stopped and spiked his bat. I get it. He's upset at himself," Danks continued. "He's a good hitter, he's had a great couple years. But he isn't that good to be acting like he needs to hit every ball out of the ballpark."

After the game, Bautista said he was simply frustrated with himself and not trying to show up Danks.

"That should not be his concern," Bautista said. "I was upset at myself with missing a pitch. If he took it the wrong way, I'm sorry. I'm not here to make him feel good."

Guillen Goes Off After Loss To Jays

White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen showed his frustration after the team's loss to the Blue Jays on Saturday.

Corey Patterson hit a walk-off home run for Toronto in the bottom of the 14th inning to give his team the win.

Chicago came back from two runs down through seven to tie it in the ninth.

Guillen was steamed after the White Sox squandered several chances in extra innings. They put the go-ahead run at third base with one out in the 11th but couldn't score, leading their manager to go on a profane tirade after the game.

"Before the ninth, everything was good. After the ninth, it was very, very bad," Guillen said.

Chicago left 10 men on base, including four in extra innings.

"I feel like I'm in September right now," the manager said. "If you ask all my coaches, they feel the same way. And we're not even in June yet."

Jays Working Molina In As Arencibia's Backup

The Blue Jays are working in veteran catcher Jose Molina as a traditional backup to regular starter J.P. Arencibia.

Arencibia caught Brandon Morrow for the first time on Thursday.

"We stated about 10 days or so ago that Jose would take more of a traditional backup type role," manager John Farrell said of his two catchers.

"Just the way the schedule falls it gives us a situation where J.P. has got Brandon tonight. J.P. has clearly shown he has the ability to handle every guy on our staff and I think Brandon is comfortable with J.P. behind the plate as well."

Toronto's Reyes Equals Winless Starts Record

Reyes was pulled after the third inning of Wednesday's game against the Yankees with Toronto trailing 5-0. New York went on to win 7-3.

He hasn't won a game since June 13, 2008, when he beat the Angels as a member of the Braves.
