Gaston Hopes Toronto Keeps Bautista

Blue Jays manager Cito Gaston knows that he doesn't have the final say, but hopes the team holds onto outfielder Jose Bautista.

"I'd keep him," Gaston said ahead of Saturday's non-waiver trade deadline.

Toronto general manager Alex Anthopoulos is currently entering offers for a number of players.

"If something comes up and you can get two or three players you can put in there right now, I don't know, I'd think about it," Gaston said. "I'm pretty sure Alex would think about it."

Jays Send Wallace To Houston For Gose

The Blue Jays acquired Anthony Gose, as the Astros flipped him after acquiring him from the Phillies in a trade for Roy Oswalt.

"He's someone who we've been after for a long time," Blue Jays general manager Alex Anthopoulos said in a radio interview on the FAN 590 on Thursday in Toronto.

The Blue Jays sent first-base prospect Brett Wallace to Houston in order to add Gose to Toronto's farm system.
