Jason Stark is now reporting that the Mariners have decided to keep Ibanez.

Gregg Zaun is unhappy about his reduced role with the Blue Jays, and has asked the team to try trading him before Thursday?s deadline, as reported by the Associated Press.
Zaun has lost playing time to Rod Barajas since Cito Gaston took over as manager last month. He approached GM J.P. Ricciardi about the possibility of a trade as his starts became less frequent.

Asked whether the Blue Jays would deal A.J. Burnett before Thursday's trade deadline, general manager J.P. Ricciardi was emphatic.
"He's not going anywhere," Ricciardi said before Burnett pitched Monday against Tampa Bay.
Burnett is in the third year of a five-year, $55 million contract. He can opt out of the deal after this season.
