Hamilton Sat With Tight Hamstring

The Rangers revealed on Thursday that outfielder Josh Hamilton sat out Wednesday's game because of a tight hamstring.

Hamilton's absence was strange because he is currently enjoying a 17-game hit streak.

The day off was originally described as simply a "maintenance day" by manager Ron Washington.

Hamilton doesn't expect the hamstring to be an issue going further.
